Draftsperson / CNC Programmer
Hands-on drafting and CNC programming in our architectural millwork shop — AutoCAD required, Microvellum a plus.
Tech 2000 Woodworks is looking for a Draftsperson / CNC Programmer to join our team on-site in Jeannette, PA. This is a hands-on role working closely with our project managers, production team, and fabricators in an architectural millwork environment.
What you’ll do
- Draft and revise shop drawings using AutoCAD
- Program parts for CNC using Microvellum (or be willing to learn it with minimal guidance)
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and the shop floor on take-offs, detailing, and programming
- Translate architectural drawings into clear, buildable work orders
- Assist in engineering solutions for custom millwork and cabinetry
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Experience with Microvellum and CNC programming is a plus — willingness to learn with minimal supervision if not yet experienced
- Drafting: 2 years (required)
- Experience in drafting, programming, or millwork — or a strong interest in learning the trade
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach
- Comfortable in an office closely tied to shop-floor activity; a clear communicator who is proactive in resolving issues
